uhm wow i was wondering when i’d get anon hate on eva

ok first of all it seems a certain someone didn’t watch the movie Akira well that’s what i call very disturbing comparing to evangelion.

Sure there are some scenes but still go watch that movie and you’ll understand what i mean.

Fucked up? if by fucked up you mean mind-fuck well yeah pretty much because eva it’s a psychological anime what did you expected

Meaningless? seriously…i don’t even know how to start this. Everyone see evangelion in their own way and understand it more or less. Shinji thinks he’s meaningless because of the circumstances he’s in, he’s confused, scared of people and thinks everyone is better than him. 

Asuka is the opposite of Shinji, who’s still scared but she depends only on herself however she wants to be apreciated by others

Rei…many people consider her boring/simple because of her ‘quiet attitude’ however she changed a lot, in special in the rebuild movies where you can tell she feels something for Shinji (and it seems it’s the same for him) 

so each character is looking for a meaning/answer for themselves.
